Tajina Rocke
With over ten years of experience specializing in facials, sugaring, waxing, hyperpigmentation, and ingrown treatments, Tajina Rocke is the owner of Bare Bodies Sugaring and a licensed educator in New York.
After a successful ten-year career in banking, Tajina decided to follow her passion for skincare. In 2014, she became a licensed esthetician, and during her time in esthetics school, she discovered sugaring as a unique form of hair removal. This discovery ignited a new love, leading her to complete her education at Long Island Nail and Skin in New York. She then honed her skills at a waxing studio in Levittown, New York, before finally opening her own business, Bare Bodies Sugaring, in 2015.
From modest beginnings and ambitious aspirations, Tajina Rocke launched her first solo studio in the basement of a hair salon. She dedicated a year to growing her clientele and establishing her brand. In 2016, Bare Bodies outgrew the basement and upgraded to a one-room suite. During this period, Tajina not only perfected her sugaring craft but also became a mentor, guiding other estheticians. In 2019, Bare Bodies found its current home in Valley Stream, New York. Tajina's commitment to her clients and her role as a mentor and educator for beauty professionals remains unwavering as she continues to share the beauty of sugar.
Armando Gualtieri
Armando fell in love with body sugaring and esthetic) after more than 25 years as a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and a lifetime in the performing arts. With so much experience navigating the body as a masseur, dancer, and performer, sugaring was a natural fit and the next step in his evolution as a care provider. Armando has degrees from the Christine Valmy School of Beauty & Esthetics and the Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics.
He has taught sugaring privately, trained his own in-house staff, and taught theatre arts for a decade before changing careers to become a full-time esthetician.
Armando loves this work and welcomes everyone in his practice. Because our society is beginning to awaken to change, it cannot be stressed enough: everyone is welcome no matter gender, sex, gender identity, race, or disability.
Personally, Armando loves knitting, crochet, and scuba. He had a 20-year collaboration with composer David Sisco, with whom he has written lyrics for countless songs. Armando is longtime advocate for intactivism and bodily autonomy rights, and the environment.
