For 10 years now I’ve made my living sugaring an enormous clientele and for the last 5 years I've been teaching esties all over the world how to master the art of body sugaring.

I've been able to go from scared single mama back then not knowing in a recession how I was going to feed my kids… to tripling my income and hiring a staff of esties and front desk dynamos to accommodate the growth. I've been able to help...

To certify or not to certify….is that your question?

I’m so excited to hear from estheticians who are trying to decide whether or not to take the plunge and add Body Sugaring to their skill set. They get all twisty about whether to spend the money, where to go to get training, how much time its going to take out of their schedules…the list goes on. What gets me jazzed about this question is the answer is simple: Body Sugaring will increase your revenue and traffic. If that interests you, then you have your answer!

I, too, was twisty about the question back in the day.

I had just a few clients a day, which didn’t really give me enough extra cash to put into extra training. I am a single mama with two small kids…could I take the risk? The training at the time was $700 and I just didnt know if I could swing it.

Something moved me to take a chance and take the plunge. My intuition told me that if I just trusted my colleagues, I too could be a successful...

You have been hearing the buzz about body sugaring, so let’s take a look at this little ball of sweetness! Body paste is simply just lemon, sugar and water…thats it! We know that this art dates back all the way to ancient Egypt over a thousand years ago. We are using it now as a gentle form of hair removal.

Its all natural.

There’s less waste.

and I’ve tripled my income by using it.

There really is one fundamental difference with body sugaring vs. waxing. With waxing, the wax gets applied over the top of the skin and shrink wraps around the top of the hair. Body paste is a little different. When we mold the sugar across the skin, it seeps down around in the follicles, wraps around the bulb, and pulls the whole hair out by the bulb not by the top of the hair.

Waxers, you really need to check out this century old hair removal technique. It will change your business, and your clients’ comfort levels…forever.

It’s time to GET SUGARED!

If you haven’t already, the first thing you need to do when you are deciding whether or not to become a certified Body Sugaring Pro is to try the treatment yourself. Go bold and experience the full monty of a Brazilian or if brows are more you speed start there. Whatever you do…you must experience the difference between waxing and sugaring. You must understand what your client will be experiencing. How can you honestly explain to your clients the benefits of this practice if you havent experienced it yourself?

If you know your sugaring practitioner, ask her to do one side with wax and the other with sugar (if she even still has a wax pot!). Or ask her to hold your skin taught on one side, and dont hold the skin on the other. Experience what you client will be experiencing. Trust me, you will never not hold your clients skin after a flick again!
